Brand Manager

MTR Foods Private Limited -Brand Manager - Bangalore

Main Challenges in this Position:

- Own the Category/Categories P&L- to drive profitable growth

- Drive on newer opportunities for the assigned category with respect to: Geography, New segments, Premiumization

- Work along with a cross-functional team to deliver on innovations within the category

Responsibility and Mandate:

- Ensure the assigned category delivers objectives in respect of volumes, market share and margins

- Develop the category strategy through strong consumer insights that deliver consumer loyalty and generate demand

- Drive innovation process for the assigned categories

- Develop and execute category advertising and promotion campaigns with cost-effective media mix to support brand objectives

- Determine consumer research objectives, initiate research and integrate findings into product plans.

- Coordinate all category product initiatives through the entire value chain to ensure profitable growth

- Determine marketing consumer research objectives, initiate research and integrate findings to product plans.

- Drive cost reduction projects to deliver product margins

- Independently manage marketing operations for the assigned category

- Work with external agencies to execute the category strategy

Main Tasks and/or Projects:

- Build and execute category plans

- Own the P&L for the category.

- Drive innovation projects

- Support Trade marketing with BTL

Criteria for Evaluation:

- Category Volume.

- Market Share.

- Contribution margin.

- Brand Advertisement salience

- Promotion effectiveness.

- Project Management

- Adherence to timelines in full execution of all plans

Education & Experience:

- Master's in Business Administration from top B schools

- 3-5 years of experience with at least 2 years of brand experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Sound marketing concepts, analytics, and interpersonal skills.

- Good understanding of business dynamics in India.

- Experience in packaged foods industry.

- Understanding of TG: Millennials/Gen Z

- Experience in digital campaigns and eCommerce/MT focused categories

- Experience in category development

- Experience of new product development

- Experience of international market is an added advantage
