AGM - Digital Transformation


Digital Strategy Development:


- Develop a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the overall business objectives and market trends


- Identify opportunities for digital innovation and growth across all areas of the steel plant's operations, document, and design the systems solutions landscape, including an evaluation of business needs and which technology solutions meet those needs

Technology Assessment and Integration:

- Evaluate emerging technologies, such as IoT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence), machine learning, big data analytics, and cloud computing, for their applicability to steel manufacturing processes

- Lead the selection and integration of digital tools, platforms, and solutions to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality control

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Work closely with departmental heads, process engineers, IT professionals, and external technology partners to drive alignment and collaboration on digital initiatives, develop and discuss potential solutions, even before the stakeholder realises that they are required

- Help stake-holders optimise reporting and analytics processes, systems, and information to provide business insights that drive better decisions and actions.

- Foster a culture of innovation and digital literacy across the organization through training, workshops, and knowledge sharing

Data-driven Decision Making:

- Establish robust data analytics capabilities to collect, analyze, and visualize data from various sources, including sensors, equipment, and enterprise systems.

- Use actionable insights derived from data analytics to improve operational performance, predict maintenance needs, optimize inventory management, and identify growth opportunities

Change Management and Implementation:

- Lead change management efforts to drive adoption of digital technologies and processes among employees at all levels of the organization

- Oversee the implementation of digital projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards

Cybersecurity and Risk Management:

- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data, systems, and intellectual property from cyber threats and vulnerabilities

- Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address potential disruptions or challenges associated with digital transformation initiatives

Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of digital transformation initiatives

- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to identify areas for improvement and optimization, driving continuous innovation and excellence

Learning & Skill Development:

- Handhold & provide necessary training for better implementation of the digital objective

- Identify technology partners for long term collaboration to meet the growing digital needs of the organization

- Identify opportunities at the operation level, organization, organization process level, use of digital tools & data for process improvement, reduction of cost & overall efficiency improvement
