MSD Teamworks - Fixed Income Analyst - Fund Management

MSD Teamworks is a financial services company based in New Delhi providing investment support to its client fund management companies. To enable rapid expansion, we are currently looking for ambitious and career driven Fixed Income Analysts to join our Company and play a key role in assisting our global client.

The client company is head quartered in South East Asia. This is a rapidly growing company at an exciting stage in its development.

Job Description :

- Generate fixed income investment ideas, scanning across global bond markets with focus on emerging markets viz. Latin American/US and Chinese Bonds.

- Deep dive credit analysis of potential and existing portfolio investments covering all aspects of the security (spreads, covenants, structure, swaps, hedges, etc.), issuer (cash-flows, ratings, appropriations, etc.) and macro factors (country, enforcement risks, trends, etc.)

- Prepare and present detailed Investment Notes for approval by the team leader

- Regular (daily/weekly) updates on fixed income strategy, macro factors, trends, fixed income securities pricing, portfolio positioning, greeks, and market dynamics

- Develop relationships with analysts, and other industry experts to support investment thesis

- Seeking arbitrage or hedging opportunities (through F&O, special situations, etc.) and determining appropriate pyramiding up/down of investments.

- Assist in trade execution

- Diligent monitoring of holdings to ensure credit profiles and returns remains consistent with firm expectations

- Assist team leader through market alerts and algorithms

- Support marketing and investor service activities, including preparation of various analytical reports, bench-marking, presentations, et al.

Requirements : 

- Graduate degree in Mathematics/Economics/Computer Science with very strong programming/IT skills or CFA, MBA, CA or B.Tech. with passion in investing, comfort with real life uncertainties and ability to manage tight timelines

- Exposure to Bloomberg and the ability to handle large data

- Hands-on exposure to fixed income securities and/or credit derivatives investment experience and financial engineering / structuring

- Minimum 6-8 years experience in Fixed Income strongly desirable

- Candidates lacking STRONG proficiency in MS-Excel (macros) are strictly advised to refrain from applying
