Your key responsibilities :
- Negotiate and draft a variety of inbound complex technology and data agreements, including software, outsourcing, telecom, NDAs, consulting and various services agreements.
- Work closely with the business and various cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Procurement, Privacy, InfoSec, etc.) to negotiate and close transactions globally including with a focus on India-based transactions and matters.
- Support contract process improvements, including development of new templates and other documentation as needed.
- Support special projects.
Your skills and experience that will help you excel :
- 8+ years' experience as a lawyer drafting and negotiating complex tech and IP transactions or advising clients on challenging intellectual property matters.
- Qualification in India is required.
- Experience in the financial services industry is helpful.
- Strong communications and drafting skills.
- Confidence to negotiate deals independently with escalation as necessary.
- Positive, execution-oriented outlook, with superior listening and drafting skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive desire to quickly learn the business and come up to speed in new areas.
- Ability to analyze legal and business risks and to propose creative, pragmatic solutions.
- Organizational capability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Strong academic record is a must.
