Position Overview:

The MSCI Global Product Management team is composed of experienced financial professionals who are responsible for not only launching new MSCI Index products but also providing support to existing product offering (e.g. licensing;pricing). Currently, the Global Product Management team is present in the following locations: New York, London, Budapest, and Mumbai.

The new member of the team, who would report to a Mumbai based manager, would be responsible for supporting the Factor Index business - one of the fastest growing business areas offering benchmark indexes to the global investment community.

Responsibilities:

- This role involves supporting the day to day product management and development of Factor Index products. Responsibilities include:

- Supporting the development and launch of new Factor Indexes, managing the product pipeline, assist in driving revenue growth and management of P&L of Factor Index business

- Support the sales organization in selling Factor Indexes including but not limited to trainings, marketing support and product specialization

- Collaborating with other functional groups - IT, Data Management and Research - to define product requirements, resolve product issues, and deliver product enhancements

- Have knowledge of the equity markets, investment process and the asset management industry

- Knowledge of product management processes and demonstrated ownership of product through full development life cycle

- Be able to prioritize effectively and work under time constraints

- Superior written and verbal communications

- Well-developed problem solving skills and attention to detail

- Excel at working independently to identify and resolve client problems

- Demonstration of increasing levels of initiative and responsibility in current role

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in financial industry (asset owners, asset managers, broker dealer, consultant, third party data vendor platforms) with a strong servicing and client focused mindset. Product/Project Management roles preferred.

- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or equivalent experience required

- MBA in finance, financial engineering, economics, statistics, or other quantitative fields a plus

- CFA or FRM designations (or participation in the programs) viewed very favorably.
