Your Team responsibilities:

Equity Data Management (EDM) is responsible for the collection, maintenance, and quality control of Equity related data points that in turn serve as inputs to various products related to Equity Index Series and Equity analytics models. EDM performs critical functions for the construction and maintenance of indexes and models:

(1) Dividends update : processing the dividends declared by the companies to facilitate the computation of descriptors which are used in MSCI products

(2) Universe Management: defining the equity universe to facilitate index size segmentation by market

(3) Fundamental Data Update: processing the company's financial statements on an ongoing basis to facilitate the computation of valuation ratios used in certain MSCI products

(4) Float Review: processing the company's shareholding structure to determine the free float of securities

(5) Number of Shares Review: processing the company's latest number of shares to account for certain corporate events

(6) Global Industry Classification Standards (GICS)

Review: GICS Direct is a product that MSCI manages jointly with Standard and Poor's (S&P).

Your key responsibilities :

- Equity Data Management Dividend Analyst role is structured in a manner that an analyst will gain functional expertise across countries. The analyst would typically perform the following functions:

- Review and analyze dividends declared by companies

- Apply MSCI methodology specific treatment to dividends data wherever required

- Ensure high data quality standards by applying data review techniques

- Interact with internal and external clients and answer their queries on data and MSCI methodology

- Track market trends and changes which impact dividends data

Your skills and experience that will help you excel -

The ideal candidate would have the following skill sets:

- Good analytical skills and excellent communication skills in English

- Self starter and high level of motivation and commitment to hard work

- Open mind with a taste for improving processes

- Should be a team player

- High level of focus on work quality/attention to detail and accuracy

- Desire to effectively work with diverse cultures on a global team

- Must have working knowledge of SQL, Python

- CFA/MBA with an engineering degree with 1-3 years of experience
