Position Overview
Real Estate Performance Analyst role is associated with the MSCI Real Estate indexes & Data. MSCI Real Estate is a leading provider of real estate performance and risk analysis, providing critical business intelligence to real estate owners, managers, brokers, lenders and occupiers worldwide. The company's unique database holds searchable information on 79,000 properties, valued at approximately USD 1.7trillion, which are located in 33 countries, with a long performance history (25+ years) and which are mostly appraised quarterly.
The role involves providing data analytics and benchmarks on real estate using an array of powerful comparative measures and tools that are used in the investment decision-making process.
Responsibilties
Working as part of a growing team of real estate performance analysts who provide real estate direct property indexes, benchmarks, performance analysis reports and custom/ bespoke analysis to global real estate asset managers and asset owners
- Manage a portfolio of clients and/or funds
- Address client queries related to funds, analyze and amend in accordance with IPD procedure
- Provide be-spoke analysis if/when requested by clients
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and local market teams
- Work closely with the team leader to accomplish business goals
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify innovative work-flow efficiencies and implement solutions to enhance processes
- Owning and/ or contributing to cross team coordination tasks on business critical processes
- Lead, plan, coordinate and execute the assigned projects /tasks, as per milestones
- Develop Subject Matter Expertise on MSCI Real Estate products/tasks and share best practices
- Coaching and Mentoring the junior members in the team and support Team Leads in reviewing deliverables
Desired experience and qualities
- Fundamental knowledge in accounting and finance is mandatory
- 4 to 7 Years of work experience required
- Fluency in any foreign language is a plus
- Candidate willing to work in EMEA shifts
- Bachelors in any finance or engineering related discipline are required; management degree is a plus
- Fundamental knowledge in accounting and finance is mandatory
- Experience in mentoring and / or managing a few people from a content review/ signoff perspective is preferable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English ; Good presentation skills
- Confident and motivated to work in a global environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Detail oriented, willingness to learn and grow per the business goals and adaptable to changing requirements
- Appreciation for diverse cultural norms/style
- Self-motivated, independent, quick-learner and strong team player
