THE ROLE:

- As Director, Portfolio Analytics & Reporting you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and strategic growth of loan portfolio at MPOWER. It is a key strategic role that blends rigorous financial oversight with a passion for making a difference. In this role, you will spearhead the analytical backbone that supports MPOWER's mission, ensuring that our portfolio strategies are not only sound but transformative.


- Your insights will drive decisions that directly impact the lives of international students, aligning financial goals with our broader purpose. This position offers a rare opportunity to lead in a dynamic, mission-driven environment. You responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Overseeing comprehensive reviews, data validations, and rectifying discrepancies to maintain high loan data quality, collaborating with data/engineering and loan servicing teams.

- Developing and presenting portfolio analytics on a monthly and ad-hoc basis, working with senior leadership to optimize portfolio performance, assess market conditions, and guide strategic decisions.

- Leading capital planning initiatives with the FP&A team, developing and maintaining a capital plan, and providing data-driven insights to support financing and strategic decisions for long-term financial stability.

- Developing and maintaining loan cash flow and valuation models to support pricing changes, monitor unit economics, financial planning, and assist in investor/lender negotiations.

- Leading the preparation and delivery of key reports, including credit performance, securitization, and investor reporting, while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights. Supporting the capital markets and credit team in communicating loan portfolio performance to investors, rating agencies, and lenders.

- Managing loan sale and forward flow processes, maintaining loan cash flow models to track compliance with contractual obligations, and continuously improving ABS cash flow modeling and reporting to provide accurate financial insights.

- Overseeing periodic loan purchases by bank partners, managing warehouse financing, ensuring covenant compliance, working with the Finance team on loan portfolio valuation for financial reporting purposes, and collaborating with the capital markets and credit team on loan sale and forward flow processes. This also involves managing investor reporting and maintaining/refining loan cash flow models to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and covenants.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- 8+ years of experience in portfolio analytics, financial reporting, or a similar role within the financial services industry

- Strong knowledge of cashflow modeling at loan level and securitizations, loan portfolio management, and warehouse financing.

- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.

- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.

- Ability to adapt to evolving market conditions and business needs.

- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership.
