MPOWER Financing - Associate Director - Capital Markets - Finance

The Role :


- You will support MPOWER's capital markets strategy and manage MPOWER's funding and banking partners to deliver securitizations and other financing vehicles, often working through new ideas and deal structures to secure the best economics for the company. You will also partner internally with finance, data, operations, legal, and risk teams to provide a markets/funding perspective on revenue forecasting, product strategy and operational requirements. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Driving MPOWER's institutional and retail capital markets strategy, including launching innovative debt structures and building out MPOWER's securitization capabilities

- Leading end-to-end deals, from initial presentations through operationalizing and documenting structured finance transactions, all the while coordinating with various stakeholders

- Building high-quality financial models to deliver insights critical to the success of MPOWER's capital markets strategy

- Driving the due diligence process including collaborating with all functional areas to create material and deliver to stakeholders

- Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners-lenders, investors, lawyers, accountants, rating agencies etc

The Qualifications :


- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or another analytical field. Advanced degree preferred

- 10+ years of overall experience with proven track record of leading a variety of transactions end-to-end (warehouse lines, whole-loan sales, securitization, etc)

- Background in structured finance at a bank, fintech or other lending institution, consumer credit experience is desirable

- Advanced Excel modeling skills and fluency in other analytical or modeling tools (SAS, R, VBA, Tableau, etc) is a plus

- Superior verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broad audiences

- Strong analytical skills and highly comfortable with a tech-enabled environment

- A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must, as well as comfort working with a global team across multiple-time zones and sites!

- In addition, you should be comfortable working in a fast growth environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload and tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
