We are looking for an Investment Analyst / Associate to be part of our investment team that is handling the entire lifecycle of investments, monitoring and exits of the Mount Judi Funds. The person will be reporting to the Investment Manager.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Evaluate opportunities, identify right prospects and build a strong deal pipeline of startups seeking funds and maintain the deal tracker accurately

- Identify start-ups that are seeking funds for growth; Conduct initial review & filtering of deals

- Carry out detailed diligence of the shortlisted targets; Help in managing promoter expectations and build relationships

- Engage with the agencies conducting the legal, tax and financial due diligences and coordinate to ensure timely and detailed coverage

- Be part of the entire process of internal and external due diligence, structuring, approvals, negotiations, contracting and deal closure

- Actively engage with and build relationships across the start-up ecosystem such as with Angels & VCs, incubators & accelerators, Investment Bankers etc. in order to source new investment opportunities

- Carry out market assessment, segment & competition analysis periodically to build/ refine investment thesis & identify new startups, technologies, sectors & opportunities in the market

- Assist in obtaining approvals from investment and ethics committees

- Design and implement suitable approaches for mentoring, facilitation and monitoring for the portfolio businesses to help them grow

- Identify appropriate time to exit from portfolio companies and manage the exit

- Engage with current or potential investors when called upon, to keep them abreast of deal prospects and status

- Pro-actively contribute to fund level thinking and strategy, marketing and branding activities

- Participate at Board level of portfolio companies

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Expertise in excel modelling, including financial models and scenario analysis

- Possess key insight and understanding of industry/ services sectors

- Have access / capability to build strong network across the start-up ecosystem

- Demonstrated task ownership and skills and in handling ambiguity

- Ability to handle multiple priorities to plan & manage a variety of projects simultaneously

- Strong and demonstratable analytical and communication skills; verbal & written incl. presentation, report writing

- Strong quantitative & analytical skills in new age Business and Tech centric Models

- Demonstrated skills and ability to work in teams

- Proven aptitude to think independently, Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks of required quality with minimal supervision

- Demonstrate learning agility, resourcefulness, good judgment & follow-up skills

- Must be Target-driven, and able to maintain a sense of urgency and confidentiality

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree with good performance from a reputed Tier1/II institution in Engineering/ Commerce/ Management is required.

- CA or Master's degree in Finance/Management from a reputed university highly preferred

- CFA Level 2 cleared for Associate, or CFA Level 1 cleared for Analyst- or any related certifications - highly preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional working experience for Associate and 2 years for Analyst will be required

- Experience of working in the financial or professional services sector is required; Prior work in VC/ PE industry, Investment Banking or Start-ups is added advantage

COMPENSATION:

- Combination of fixed salary, variable pay in the form of bonuses & carry share in fund

- Fixed Salary: 10L-13L for Associate; 7L-10L for Analyst - based on relevant experience
