We are recruiting an Analyst / Associate in the Real Estate Investments Team in Mumbai, India. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Real Estate Investments, the analyst will be responsible for assisting the senior team in evaluating potential real estate investment opportunities in India, conducting real estate investment analysis and financial information analysis, building financial models, preparing investment memos and monitoring and managing investments.
Role-Specific Accountabilities:
1) Analyse Real Estate Investment Opportunities
- Assist the Investment Management team in analyzing, structuring, negotiating, recommending, conducting due diligence, reviewing documentation and closing new deals
- Develop financial models to analyse opportunities
- Conduct research on the property sector and contribute towards qualitative and quantitative analysis
2) Execute Real Estate Investments
- Assist in the underwriting process of real estate investments
- Manage specific aspects of the execution of the real estate investment opportunity
- Participate in due diligence meetings with partners and external advisors
- Coordinate closing activities internally and externally
- Contribute in preparation of the investment note for the Investment committee
3) Monitor Existing Real Estate Investments
- Participate in the monitoring and management of investments and perform reviews of existing investments
- Conduct quantitative analysis of underwritten project business plans, prepare periodic reports for management and assist in identifying potential issues and in preparation of resolution plans for the issues
- Coordinate with Finance & Operations team with respect to monitoring of ongoing investments
Qualifications:
- MBA from a top ranking Indian institution or CA. Other professional qualifications such as a CFA would be an added advantage
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in India in real estate and or corporate finance/capital markets
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation); demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Displays a high degree of professionalism, with the ability to manage internal and external relationships
- Extensive working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); in particular, ability to financial model with Excel
- Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills; experience compiling data and financial information.
- Flexibility, adaptability and initiative; are forward-thinking and a motivated self-starter
- Good judgment and sense of priorities
- Team player who enjoys a high performance culture; open to and comfortable with constantly evolving and changing priorities and new challenges
