Title: Regional Agronomist
Qualification: Post graduate/PhD. in Agriculture with Agronomy/Soil Science as Major
Experience: 4 -6 Years
- Should be able to communicate in Bengali
- The Agronomist will be handling West Bengal region along with Chattisgarh, Orissa and Bihar.
- Responsible for new product development, market development initiatives, provide technical inputs for marketing, sales team, dealers and distributors on new fertilizer products. Educate & develop the communication for MDO's.
- To provide technical support to Mosaic Village Project - Krishi Jyoti and expand the program in new villages of the selected area. To evaluate different components of the program and adjust according to local conditions to make it a sustainable model.
Responsibilities:
- Participate and contribute to Mosaic India's Agronomy Team- The Mosaic Company Foundation Award, participation in National seminars and providing their respective region field level updates regularly
- Lead market development initiatives, provide inputs for developing marketing tools & technical training to sales team, dealers and distributors on new fertilizer products & Balanced Crop Nutrition (BCN)
- Educate & develop the communication for Market Development Officers (MDOs) consistently on Mosaic Products and BCN for their capacity building
- Conduct new product demonstrations in different states as a part of product development initiative
- Build relationship with scientist from local National Agri. Institutes, SAUs, KVK's & other Agri. Institutes influencers
- Periodic reporting about on filed situation, farmer economics, climate and govt. agri. related policies
- Provide technical support to Mosaic India's Village Project in the selected geography
- Identify new villages for the project
- Conduct preliminary survey and devise an appropriate program
- Execute the Agri., Water management & Education program
- Collaborate with other partners for implementing the program
- Develop matrix and measure the performance of the program after 2 seasons
- Implement entry & exit strategy for the villages covered under the project
