Reporting : The role will be part of the GWS India and GIC Site Management function reporting to the GIC Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Position Summary :
- The objective of the GWS function is to ensure that we are optimizing use of all deployment options (including strategic sites).
- Site Management is responsible for the management of each of the GICs. The COOs reporting to the Global GIC Site Manager, provide management, promote consistency between sites, and overall prioritization based on global business and regulatory requirements. The COO works in conjunction with the local business unit heads and infrastructure support teams to manage the operational efficiency of the site.
- The COO is responsible for a core set of deliverables representing site governance, people, infrastructure management and external engagement.
Primary responsibilities :
Will be part of the COO team- to drive multiple initiatives/agendas at the GIC level in matters pertaining to infrastructure management, site governance and the GWS function in general.
Bengaluru Site management :
- Chair Senior Management meeting with local Business Units and Infrastructure heads
- Facilitate monitoring, tracking and close open issues with the infrastructure divisions relating to site (HR, Enterprise Infrastructure, Business Continuity Management and Corporate Services including Corporate Real Estate Management, Travel, Amenities, Security etc.)
- Maintaining consistency across business units and sites by recognizing the difference and similarities between GIC sites by exercising sound judgment.
- Have a local peer network to understand market practices and competitor information.
- Drive people agenda in conjunction with HR through regular interactions with employees at various levels to ascertain the pulse of the site.
- Execute various initiatives for the site including but not limited to real estate capacity planning, divisional initiatives etc.
- Deployment support and BU engagement: BU specific requirements, new deployments and expansions
- Support the COO to drive firm wide employee engagement taking the lead in integrating the local and regional events and initiatives e.g. Events, Philanthropy, WBA, Family Network, Environment and Social Forum(ESF)
- Representing the firm in external forums e.g. NASSCOM etc. as needed
Skills Required :
- A good understanding of the business; with around 10 years of work experience in general management; for internal candidates 5+ years of experience in the firm would be ideal
- Strong experience in managing multiple agendas across various BU and infrastructure stakeholders; also, needs to be a quick learner
- Strong Communication Skills
- Ability to work in both team and individual settings; excellent people skills
- Ability to drive key initiatives and deliver superior results through influence
- Must be able to multi-task
Will require travel to the Mumbai office
