Country Risk Associate

For our Mumbai Office

Are you looking for an opportunity to do meaningful, intellectually stimulating work in the field of finance? As a Country Risk Analyst in Credit Risk Management you will have the unrivalled opportunity to learn and apply the skillset of how big banks analyze country risk (business environment risk) and sovereign governments, and build their macroeconomic views to help them manage their risk appetite.

You will:

- Analyze and author credit reviews on countries and sovereign entities

- Present your views in front of rating committees and colleagues

- Participate in research projects that identify trends which are disruptive to the current business environment and will shape the global issues of the future

- Partner with colleagues across the globe to achieve your goals and to gain insight into how a global organization operates.

You have:

- Bachelor's or higher degree preferably in economics or a related subject

- Possess at least 3-4 years of credit analysis experience in the financial services industry/ rating agency related to sovereign / country risk rating and review writing

- A profound interest in sovereign analysis, including a thirst to understand political and macroeconomic developments and the interplay between them

- Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with high attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills and an aptitude to formulate and express opinions with clarity

- Good interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork

- Fluency in a language other than English is a plus

Skills desired :

- Previous experience in Sovereign / Country credit risk management at a multinational financial institution / credit rating agency is an advantage
