- Strategic/ Managerial Responsibilities The EWS analyst role would be responsible to run the process and engage with various teams at the Bank to identify incipient signs stress in the EWS portfolio by proactively monitoring triggers across financials, transactions and public EWS signals
Core Responsibilities :
- Functioning of the EWS process and engage with various teams across Corporate, SME & Retail verticals to identify incipient stress in borrower portfolio by proactively monitoring triggers across transactional parameters, financial parameters, account conduct related triggers, internal external rating indicators, negative news etc.
- Examine the responses to the triggers / alerts and evaluate whether it should be considered as red-flagged accounts (RFA) and to be investigated for potential fraud.
- Collaborating with EWS system partner and internal teams of the Bank to ensure efficacy of the EWS / RFA processes, alerts generated, and identification of accounts which need close monitoring.
- Generation, Analysis and Validation of the EWS outcome based on the inferences generated by the system.
- Contributing for further refinement of the EWS platform in terms of alert library, alert definition, thresholds defined to ensure relevance of the EWS review.
- Constant engagement with Business and Credit team to track timely closure of EWS alerts
- Performing user access testing, enhancements, refinements, facilitating deployment on production
- Co-ordinating with various stakeholders in obtaining required approvals for finalising any process related modification / enhancement.
- Conducting half yearly EWS back-testing exercise to test efficacy of the system
- Imparting trainings to Business and Credit units on regulatory requirement and functioning of the EWS framework.
- Monitoring and presenting monthly review of exposure reported RFA / Fraud by Other Bank
- Conducting monthly RCC meetings to present the outcome of EWS evaluation performed by Business and Credit teams.
- Recommending potential RFA accounts to RCC (RFA classification Committee)
- Well versed with regulatory guidelines and master circulars
- People Management or Self-Management Responsibilities Constant engagement with Business and Credit team to track timely closure of EWS alerts
- Co-ordinating with various stakeholders in obtaining required approvals for finalising any process related modification / enhancement.
- Collaborating with EWS system partner and internal teams of the Bank to ensure efficacy of the EWS / RFA processes, alerts generated, and identification of accounts which need close monitoring.
- Risk and Internal Control Responsibilities Convening RCC meeting at defined intervals to present EWS outcome and placing a monthly update to MD&CEO
- Monitoring closure of EWS alerts in a timely manner by highlighting any delays to senior management and respective BUHs
- Timely reporting of potential RFA accounts to RCC as an outcome of EWS alerts
