Mohan Impex is looking to hire a Purchase Manager to manage procurement for PAN India.
1. Strategy and development: Create and implement a purchasing strategy, policies, and processes to improve business performance. This includes ensuring that purchasing strategies meet business objectives and operational needs.
2. Cost management: Analyze and manage procurement costs, and implement cost-effective purchasing strategies.
3. Risk management: Identify and mitigate procurement risks, and develop contingency plans.
4. Supplier relations: Establish and nurture relationships with suppliers, and resolve conflicts promptly.
5. Quality assurance: Ensure the quality and compliance of procured goods, and implement quality control measures.
6. Inventory control: Maintain optimal inventory levels, and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
7. Procurement: Oversee the procurement of goods and services for the organization.
8. Vendor management: Develop new vendors, maintain vendor records, and select vendors.
9. PO management: Generate purchase orders (POs), track PO performance, and maintain purchase records.
10. Communication: Communicate with projects head and other department personnel to assess purchase needs.
11. Price analysis: Analyze the price proposals of suppliers and the company's financial reports to negotiate the best price.
12. Some important KPIs for a purchasing manager to track include cost saving, supplier performance and reliability, inventory management efficiency, and emergency purchase rate.
