Job Description :

Leading a Model Line for Electrical & Electronics(Scooter, Series, New Models, Lead).

Job Purpose / Role :

- The Role is to product specific and project wise give technical input and coordinate and guide the project teams consisting of electrical & electronics design, testing and development engineers in the specific segment of the respective Model Line. This may be Scooter, Series Engines, New Models or LEAD.

- In this function he/she is fully capable to represent the respective Model Line in all electrical & electronics related issues to the other departments and functions.

- He coordinates all development related tasks with the general Model Line Lead of his segment and his colleagues from other departments.

- The Lead further understands and knows the market requirements and is fully aware of new trends and developments. He actively screens and monitors new developments in the respective segment and reacts and informs the teams based on this knowledge.

- He further supports and guides in defining new concepts and/or upgrade needs of the existing electrical & electronic parts.

Key Responsibilities :

- Represent the respective Model Line in all electrical & electronics related issues within and outside E&E

- Support definition of new concepts and upgrades in the Model Line

- Monitor global market trends related to Model Line engine/vehicle

- Guide and coordinate engineers of all Sections in respective projects

- Overall coordination of all Model Line related projects

- Support build up of relevant domain expertise within E&E

- Facilitate in time completion of all project tasks at best quality level, escalate if at risk

- Take a lead role in establishing Hero's own Electrical & electronic Knowledge Base

- Collaborate/integrate with all related departments and partners

Qualifications :

- BTech or MTech from renowned institute

- Project management/Management courses

- Add. Qualifications, languages etc

- Min. 12 Yrs in relevant work

Desired Technical / Functional Competencies :

- Solid Automotive electrical & electronics backgroud

- Hands on expertise in design or development

- Understanding modern rapid prototyping process

- Understanding and experience in design methodology

- Proven record testing and electrical system integration job

- Expertise in design for cost and production

- Expertise of working in a global context and across continents

- Knowledge of IT resources/hardware needed
