Appointment: Permanent Full Time

POSITION OBJECTIVES :

Be responsible for the provision of services in relation to human resources, risk management, records, by:

- Providing advice to management in relation to these areas.

- Managing the relevant policies, services, systems and processes

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

Duties of the Position:

A) Policy and Strategy Development :

- Develop strategies, action plans, policies and procedures to guide the development of human resource management, risk management, organizational culture and records management.

- Assist the management to develop and review corporate strategies in related areas.

B) People and Culture / Human Resource Management :

- Provide strategic advice to the Senior Management Team regarding organizational culture, values and workforce planning.

- Manage the recruitment, selection, induction, corporate training, and exit processes in liaison with Directors and Managers.

- Provide human resource advice and assistance to directors, managers and team leaders on the management of their staff.

C) Organizational Performance :

- Manage the framework for measuring organizational performance and actively liaise with other Managers and applicable staff to achieve positive outcomes.

- Manage and lead People and Culture

- Delegate responsibility, authority and accountability to employees as appropriate.

- Other duties within the scope of the employee's skills, competence and training as directed.

- Provide a solutions based approach in advising on corporate matters such as staff disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution

- Participate in the Full Management Team.

- Develop a team approach to problem solving and encourage innovative practices

- Other duties within the scope of the employee's skills, competence and training as directed.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND EXTENT OF AUTHORITY :

- The position manages resources and specialist units and develops and interprets policy.

- Freedom to act is governed by broad goals, policies, legislation and budgets with period reviews to ensure achievement of those goals.

JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING :

The position involves policy development and problem solving. Methods, procedures and processes are less well defined and the manager leads their development and adaptation. The work requires a process of problem solving and policy development through considering an unspecified range of options prior to making a choice.

SPECIALIST SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE :

Specialist skills and knowledge include:

- Extensive knowledge of People and Culture theory and practice.

- Extensive knowledge of human resource management principles, legislation and practices.

- Knowledge of risk management principles, legislation and practices.

- Knowledge of records management principles, legislation and practices.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS :

The position manages multiple employees, including qualified employee with extensive experience.

The Manager requires the ability to:

- Implement human resource management principles.

- Innovate and manage change.

- Co-ordinate, monitor and report on multiple projects.

- Predict and manage issues.

- Manage competing priorities and meet multiple deadlines

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

The position requires:

- Substantial experience in human resource management, organizational performance or human resource management.

- Demonstrated experience in the management of staff and resources within an environment of diverse disciplines and multi-skilling.

- MBA-HR with 6 Years of extensive HR experience
