Senior Public relations specialists build and maintain a positive public image for the company they work for and create brand awareness and trust in the market. They are responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities.
This can involve working on websites and social media and writing and/or producing presentations, reports, articles, leaflets, journals and brochures for both external and internal distribution.
Roles:
- Planning PR strategies and campaigns
- Create brand messaging for the PR campaigns
- Creating PR content such as pitches, press releases, articles, quotes etc for the media
- Ability to handle international media relations
- Handling PR communications from media, PR agencies and any 3rd party sources
- Constantly analyzing media coverage of the company and its brands
- Conducting relevant market research, media monitoring and competitor monitoring
- Identifying opportunities to improve the online engagement and image of the company
- Identifying relevant topics or news in the media for newsjacking and initiate PR campaigns
- Building and maintaining media lists
- Building media relations with magazines, editors, writers and journalists of all relevant media outlets
Requirements:
- 3 plus years' experience handling PR in the B2B industry
- At least 1 plus years' experience working for a tech based company
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyse and write technical content
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills.
- Responds well under pressure with strict time limit.
- Ability to run PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet objectives.
- Maintain and update PR reports and analytics
