Position: Academic Head
Location: Alandi (with oversight responsibilities for schools in Alandi, Latur, and Indore)
Overview:
- The Academic Head will be responsible for overseeing the academic operations of the CBSE schools under the MIT Pune Group of Institutions.
- This role involves ensuring the smooth functioning of academic programs, managing faculty and staff, and fostering a productive and inclusive academic environment. The position is based in Alandi but requires regular coordination with the schools in Latur and Indore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Academic Leadership
- Curriculum Development and Implementation:
- Oversee the development and implementation of the curriculum in accordance with CBSE guidelines.Ensure that the curriculum is regularly updated to meet educational standards and the needs of students.

Academic Planning:
- Plan the academic year's work in advance in consultation with colleagues.
- Hold monthly staff meetings to review progress and assess student performance.
Teaching and Learning:
- Supervise classroom teaching and ensure coordination among teachers of the same subject areas.
- Promote innovative teaching methods and encourage teachers to undertake pedagogical experiments.
Professional Development:
- Help and guide teachers to promote their professional growth.
- Actively encourage participation in in-service education courses and other professional development opportunities.
Administrative Duties:
Staff Management:
- Supervise, guide, and control the work of teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Allocate duties and teaching loads to teachers and provide necessary facilities for their duties.
Admissions and Timetable:
- Be in charge of admissions, preparation of the school timetable, and organization of school examinations.
Resource Management:
- Ensure the proper maintenance of school records, service books of teachers, and other necessary registers.
- Oversee the purchase of stores and materials required for the school and ensure proper stock maintenance.
Student Welfare
Student Progress:
- Organize special instructions and remedial teaching for students as needed.
- Regularly send progress reports to parents or guardians.
Co-curricular Activities:
- Organize and coordinate various co-curricular activities to ensure holistic development of students.
Educational Background:
- A Master's degree in Education or a related field.
- Additional qualifications in school administration or educational leadership are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a CBSE school.
- Proven track record of managing academic programs and staff in a school setting.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and management software.
