Job Description
Title: Mining Sales Head
Function: Mining
Location: Gurugram
Purpose of Position:
To develop, maintain and manage new and existing business opportunities for Mining product portfolio within the regional mining industry. To achieve sales targets set on a quarterly and annual basis. To maintain and build strategic relationships with existing and potential customers and industry contacts.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop and execute comprehensive business plans and strategies to drive sustained growth for Mining within the designated region.
- Oversee and manage existing and new accounts, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction by identifying and delivering additional value to clients, and promptly addressing and resolving issues.
- Lead and guide a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment to achieve business objectives and drive success.
- Cultivate and enhance strategic relationships with customers, dealers, and industry stakeholders.
- Achieve sales forecasts and budgetary targets through proactive identification, development, and leverage of relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, and industry contacts to support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a profound understanding of the regional market, with a particular focus on customer needs and requirements.
- Manage the regular sales reports, consistently build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
- Deliver/train the team to deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Present, and negotiate quotations and proposals.
- Develop and submit comprehensive documentation for Tenders, Expressions of Interest, and Requests for Quotation/Information.
- Collaborate with the Finance department to effectively manage receivables.
- Represent Mining at industry events and tradeshows, working closely with the Marketing and Product Management teams to ensure successful participation and representation.
- Adhere to and promote compliance with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures, actively participating in audits and adhering to safety instructions for personal and collective safety.
- Stay abreast of product developments and participate in ongoing training to maintain product knowledge and expertise.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of Mining.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- Should hold an Engineering degree BE / B.Tech in Mining engineering
- Good to have Masters in the Technical or Business domain (MBA / M. Tech / M.S)
- Should have 20+ years of work experience
- At least 8+ years BD / Sales experience in the Mining segment
- Experience in key account management, Account Qualification and Risk Management
- Excellent strategic, analytical and conceptual skills
- Bid Preparation and Management
- Sound understanding of commercial activity and profitability
- Should be comfortable with frequent travel for business purposes
- Understanding of Salesforce will be an added advantage
