About the job:

- The Finance Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team, contributing to all areas of plant management and providing strong financial leadership.

- The Plant Controller is responsible for collaborating with, and actively participating in, all key operations team meetings related to the plant - particularly in Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Engineering.

- The focus is on understanding the impact of operational changes on cost, budget, and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strong controls over the inventory at plant and other locations

- Oversees the accurate input of purchase orders, invoices, costing data, Production data into the ERP system

- Expert knowledge of Plant MIS being COGS, Direct cost and Factory Overhead

- Act as a liaison between operations and accounting on all issues which have a financial impact e. COGS

- Be responsible for inventory adjustments and write-offs within the ERP system pertaining to the plant

- Review and verify capital equipment, spares, raw material, WIP, and Finished Goods inventories for month/quarter/year-end reporting

- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to manage the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and for material and labour assignments within the BOM's

- Collaborate with production employees to fully understand the current challenges with regard to work orders and the ERP, and work to create solutions in collaboration with Supply Chain and Procurement

- Responsible for Plant compliances being labour, factory and any other applicable compliances

- Responsible for plant and warehouse related internal controls

Requirement:

- CA/CMA

- 8 to 12 years Post qualification experience, out of that minimum 6 to 8 years must be at Plant locations

- Proficient in Inventory management and valuation

- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S4 Hana

- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles

- Experience in month/quarter/year-end financial reporting and audits

- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all level of an organization

- Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
