Job Snapshot:The General Ledger Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. With a focus on adherence to US GAAP principles and leveraging automated tools like FloQast and NetSuite, the incumbent will lead month end processes and maintain robust internal controls. This role will report to the Global Finance Controller and will be based out of Pune.
What's in it for you?- Month-End Process: Lead the month-end process, ensuring timely completion using automated tools like FloQast.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review assigned balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement flux analysis to identify and explain variances.
- Financial Statement Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, reflecting a true and fair view of the business.
- Auditor Coordination: Coordinate with Big Four auditors to facilitate timely completion of audits and address any queries.
- ESOP Accounting: Perform ESOP accounting and book SBC expense using the Black-Scholes method.
- Investment Accounting - Accounting and reporting of the company's investment portfolio.
- Fixed Assets Accounting: Ensure correct accounting of fixed assets using the NetSuite module, including additions, retirements, and associated entries.
- US GAAP Compliance: Maintain proficiency in US GAAP principles and ensure adherence to them in financial reporting.
- Internal Controls: Assist in maintaining robust internal controls within accounting processes to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Documentation: Update internal control narratives, flowcharts, and prepare schedules for auditors as necessary.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other ad hoc duties as needed to support the finance team and organizational objectives.
- Peripheral Duties: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, and Legal, to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with contractual agreements. Assist Strategic Finance team with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed to support the finance team and business objectives
We'd love to hear from you, if you:- Are a CA with 5-7 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Obtain knowledge of all aspects of US generally accepted accounting principles
- Have proficiency (GAAP) and Global Accounting standards.
- Are experienced with SAAS industry then it's a plus.
- Get hold of M&A transaction and accounting experience.
- Own a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) then it will be an added advantage.
- Acquire excellent communication, analytical and management skills, and attention to detail.
- Have proficiency with tools like NetSuite, FloQast, etc
