Role Summary:
Inventory Manager will lead a team of inventory workers to receive and record new stock as it comes in and move stock onto designated inventory areas for Pick, Pack, and Delivery operations. Primary responsibility will include creating schedules, monitoring stock levels at the warehouse, and knowing when to replenish stock. The incumbent will additionally oversee Stock Audits, Quality Audits, EHS Audit, etc. The incumbent will report to Hub Head.
Key Focus Areas
Inventory Reconciliation:
- Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled utilising help of the warehouse team
- Control overall shrinkage of the inventory
- Ensure the relevance and accuracy of all documentation relating to goods in and goods out including labelling of all stock items
Inbound and Outbound Inventory:
- Manage inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments, and stock levels
- Evaluate deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures
- Manage schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimize operations
- Manage schedules of return shipments to vendors, and reconciliation of returned products from customer to in-house inventory
In-house Inventory Management:
- Ensure that any IT and automated systems are accurate and up to date
- Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements
- Analyse daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages
- Report on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
- Ensure support to night operations team to avoid stockout situation and inventory replenishment at night
Stakeholders:
- Internal: Hub Operations Team, Procurement Team, Category Management Team, Central Operations Team, Hub HR Team, Central HR Team, Projects Team
- External: Audit Team, Vendors
Candidates we- re looking for:
Over 3 years of prior experience as Inventory Manager and a total experience of 5-8 years in Inventory Management or similar role in operations preferably in fast-growing start-up, manufacturing, or service setup.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
- An analytical mind with strong math skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Exceptional organisational and multi-tasking skills
