Microland - Principal Architect - Data Center

Position Summary :

- This is a Data Center Architect role which involves end-to-end optimization of enterprise infrastructure solutions, with particular focus on virtualization/cloud converged infrastructure and Data Center assessment, design, implementation and optimization.

Responsibilities & Duties :

- Serve as a recognized subject matter expert and thought leader with deep expertise in converged infrastructure including servers, storage and networking for Data Centers and virtualized/cloud solutions

- Create and support the Data Center practice development for developing the capabilities required

- Design and implementation projects from small to very large environments with varied operating systems, storage and networking technologies

- Proven experience in leading the delivery of Assessment services,design solution architecture, and multi-phased, complex migration programs that address technology, people/organization.

- Design and implement infrastructure solutions for strategic customers

- Engage with sales teams to provide pre-sales support in Data Center design, implementation, consolidation and migration solutions Work

Experience and Qualification :

Essential :

- 12 to 14 years of overall experience with at least 5 years of experience in creating road-maps for Data Center implementation as per Data Center strategy, capacity requirements

- Experienced in Data Center migration/consolidation

- Strong networking skills with experience in network capacity planning, design and implementation of heterogeneous network architectures

- Well versed with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen) Strong understanding of Windows/Linux operating system with experience in re-platforming and platform migration

- Good exposure to Data Management, storage optimization, consolidation, data protection

- Well versed in designing Data Centers to meet business continuity/disaster recovery requirements Desirable CCIE, TOGAF Certification

- Translate user requirements into technical requirements using available tools

- Comfortable in working with geographically distributed teams spread across multiple time zones
