Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of technical I.T. infrastructure or operations experience.
- 7-9 years hands-on experience in a telecommunications environment.
- In-depth knowledge in WAN transport systems/services, Telecommunications systems/service, LAN switch technology and routing protocols.
- Proven ability to manage a multi-vendor WAN, multi-protocol routing.
- Strong experience on Cisco Network Hardware like Cisco Nexus switches, Classic switches, Cisco ISR G2/ASR routers, Cisco ASA firewalls, Cisco WAN Optimizers, Cisco Autonomous/Lightweight Access Points & Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers
- Understanding & experience in some of or all following areas - VSS, Data Center Technologies, HSRP, QoS, VoIP (Cisco/Avaya), DMVPN, SSL VPN/Ipsec VPN, Wireless technologies, DHCP management, Firewall skills, IPS/IDS, Internet proxy, F5 load balancers, WAAS, WCCP, MPLS services framework & Cisco Tele-presence hardware
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient manner.
- Proven experience of LAN/WAN/Security design & implementation experience; completing projects wing2wing from planning- design- implementation.
- Demonstrated excellence in communications, presentation and customer focus skills.

Responsibilities :
- Provide core competencies in complex enterprise wide area networking, multi-protocol network transport techniques, LAN switches and Layer 4-7 content switching.
- Provide subject matter expertise in all Network services to support the GIS, Customer and GE business teams.
- Partner with the businesses and teams to provide the highest performance and lowest cost solution for their requirements.
- Design and implement the Company's network infrastructure globally and assure that the network design is reviewed on a periodic basis to maintain an optimal price/performance.
- Create design standards and specify network solutions (templates) to meet the GE businesses' requirements. Author architecture and design proposals aligned to business requirements.
- Expand, enhance and evolve the routed backbone, data center switching and Internet gateway infrastructure to cost effectively meet all specific business requirements.
- Interface with Sr. Management on business requirements/goals and translate them into technical specifications with solution proposals.
- Responsible for project budget discussions, schedule and coordination with technical team, business, vendors & suppliers, deployment, Test plan, through release to Operations
- Gain concurrence, approval, and consensus from all appropriate stakeholders before proceeding with the project
- Time sheet tracking, billing consolidation and work with client on the billing
- Managing a team of engineers including Level 2, Level 3 & Level 4 design & build team engineers.
- Manage assigned personnel, allocate work and make decisions regarding employment, performance appraisal, training and development, salary recommendations, promotion and transfer.
- Providing a training, support, advice and feedback to the team on regular basis
- Provide Project management and overall leadership for Network projects and initiatives
- Top level escalation support for Engineers in implementations and troubleshooting teams.
