An innovative B2B venture for India's transportation and warehousing industry is looking for energetic, experienced and motivated Sales Manager to join as a General Manager. Candidate should be excited about working in an entrepreneurial environment. Open to remuneration in the combination of Cash / ESOPs / Equity.

- Manages and directs all aspects of Sales operations in the designated territories. Design, develop and implement policies and procedures based on best in class industry practices. Oversees roll out Sales expansion in new geographies. Supervises, trains, and develops representatives; resolves conflicts; ensures work product consistently meets established standards; and takes required corrective/developmental action to remedy deficiencies.

- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. Conducts regular performance assessment, analyzes CRM and other reports and makes decisions to improve effectiveness and revenue potential of the organization. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Will report to top management.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversees the daily operations of the Sales Function in the designated territories

- Directly responsible for sales & operations of company’s all regional branches and channel partners within the territory

- Devise & implement overall Sales strategy

- Driving & mentoring sales team to achieve revenue target and quantitative goals

- Oversees the design and delivery of all Sales activities for quality assurance

- Conducts daily review of staff productivity and takes corrective actions to improve efficiency, productivity and revenue growth

- Adherence to Policies and Systems

- Develop and accomplish a lead generation plan including Outbound and Inbound prospect management

- Meet prospective customers wherever required

- Develop and maintain database

- Design, develop and implement Alternate Channel strategy (Channel Partner)

- Responsible for managing human resources within the team. This includes:

- Recommend staffing and organization structure to ensure optimum service delivery

- Recruitment and Training & Development

- Performance management

- Proactively seeks and applies best practice within the industry.

Required Qualifications

- Must have Sales experience in Internet based organizations with focus on B2B customer segments

- Prior experience with online companies like IndiaMart, RedBus, Bharat Matrimony, JustDial, MakeMyTrip preferred

- Must have a bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in a related field.

- Master's Degree in Management from an accredited institution preferred.

- Must have at least seven (5) years of experience working in a sales manager role

- Must be trilingual (English, Hindi and Telugu/Marathi/Tamil/Kannada).

- Must have experience with Sales operations including CRM technologies

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, outlook, etc.).

- Must have the ability to supervise a team of RSM/ZSM/ASM/SO.

- Must have the ability to work well with others and to demonstrate an excellent quality of work with little or no supervision required.

- Must have the ability to schedule workforce resources required.

- Must be highly organized with excellent verbal communication and documentation skills.

- Must have experience in managing and tracking department budgets.

- Must be available for evening and weekend hours as needed

Earlier experience in a Start-up a plus. Understands the evolutionary nature of Start-up organization
