Job purpose

We are looking for a high-octane Business Analyst and strategist (with strong analytical capabilities) to join our business strategy team. Data drives all decision-making at mGage. As a part of the Business strategy team, you'll be using data to inform business and product decisions across the company.
Duties and responsibilities
- Execute Data analysis for business requirements
- Gather, model, analyze, prepare and summarize information for company's forecast and performance on a Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Identifying business performance trends
- Preparation of reports in excel, access and SQL ( optional) and providing Business Insights
- Interaction with internal business stakeholders as required to resolve issues pertained to data delivered and queries & analysis
- Strong Knowledge of Databases
- Support analytics projects by using strong data manipulation, reporting and analytical skills.
- Maintain the credibility of all data analysis and processes maintained by the team.
- Actively participate in Annual Budgeting & Strategic planning process and compile for reporting/review
- Ensures effective understanding, analysis, and reporting of key metrics such as Sales, revenue, cost, profit and coordinate related activities.
- Work with Business Teams to monitor opportunities & risks.
- Provide all aspects of support for the sales planning process.
- Active participation in process improvements and business strategy projects as identified
- Collecting information and evidence for decision making of management.
Must have skills/ domain knowledge:
- Have the ability to crunch, manipulate and work with large quantities of data
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and design skills
- Exceptional tracking, monitoring and presentation skills for key business KPI's
- Capable of Leading the strategy presentations to key stake holders and management
Qualifications & Experience
- MBA with at least three - five (3-5) years of experience working as a Business analysis, planning, strategy or in similar job profile.
- Extensive experience gathering business requirements and dealing with people
- Working knowledge of data and database architecture, including the ability to understand a data model and how it relates to the business
Skills and competencies:
- Experience working within an environment leveraging strong interpersonal skills to enable interaction with and gathering requirements from various business areas
- Strong workflow analysis skills and the ability to identify needs, analyze them against available solutions, and identify gaps
- Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to write reports and prepare presentations
- Ability to work independently and in team environments to meet deadlines and produce quality results
- Excellent analytical, listening, presentation, and communication skills
- Delivering effective presentations and training material to a variety of audiences.
Direct reports
To start with this will be an Individual contributor role - no direct reports. However as business strategy scope of work will grow will get subordinates to support the work load.
