Position Title : Unit Manager-Process Excellence

Position Summary :
The role is for an internal advisory consultant for strategic initiatives who will support all aspects of strategy & transformation projects for the concerned service line
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Help define and shape strategies and deliver meaningful business impact on complex transformation projects
- Help maximize the value of large capital intensive projects and increase the predictability of their outcome
- Provide global leaders/SMEs with an unbiased assessment of the readiness of their projects to proceed
- Contribute to help Improve the overall value of the entire transformation projects portfolio
- Help support develop world-class customer experience capabilities and back office organisations including resilient operating systems and deep skills and capabilities
- Supporting the mitigation of significant operational risks/issues on transformation initiatives to ensure expected results are achieved
- Support and help coordinate transformation work-streams
Job Responsibilities :
Independently or as part of a larger team the advisory consultant will be involved in global projects where he would be
- Identifying transformation opportunities, designing strategy & solutions, creating transformation roadmaps, implementing initiatives around the targeted operating model(s)
- Working under general supervision and support transformation work streams
- Conducting operations assessments from a strategic and performance perspective, requirement gathering, managing change, gathering and analyzing data wherever possible, developing models and metrics, support and lead the monitoring and reporting of progress on projects, managing project risks and issues and tracking project deliverables and results
- Supporting the development of clear case for change, detailed scope, desired outcomes, accurate and realistic cost benefits analyses, clear roles and decision-making for specific transformation projects and/or programs
- Supporting monitoring of transformation project progress, budgets, risks and issues to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and manages communication with senior stakeholders
- Supporting leads and business owners to design vision for Target Operating Model transformation and develop roadmaps to achieve the vision
- Supporting team efforts to solve complex problems for the customer interface with the back office
- Helping to design and build initiatives around customer experience enhancement.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Education :
- MBA/Management Graduate from a Tier 1 College in India or from a reputed college globally
Experience :
- Minimum 6-8 years of global work experience in a similar role
- Extensive international experience
- Preferably management consulting experience of working with McKinsey,Big 4, IBM, Accenture, or similar roles in Insurance/ BFSI domain
Knowledge and skills :
- Excellent ability to conduct or participate in information gathering via interviews and workshops with clients
- Excellent ability to interpret data and generate business insights to provide support or develop recommendations.
- Excellent ability to own the outcome - present findings to stakeholders, support execution of business transformation plans
- Ability to exercise judgment to make decisions for less defined issues and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Excellent understanding of strategy and business transformation frameworks and methods
- Ability to continuously learn new methods and best practices
- Strong business process transformation understanding
- Strong regional or global strategy exposure and understanding of matrix organisations
- Transformation assessment from an operations perspective
- Exposure and strong understanding of areas like digital, analytics,mobi lity would be preferred
- Strategic thinking skills; problem solving; ability to lead change through synthesis and interpretation of data
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to business problems
- Communicates effectively to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management
- Ability to work with various teams and build working relationships
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite - Power Point, Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project and Share Point
