IT Program Financial Manager
- Only those candidates who can join immediately in May will be considered

- The role is for an internal Program Financial Manager in a global Insurance company who will support all IT financial related aspects of strategy & transformation programs for the US service line.
- This position is responsible for maintaining Program Financial Management approach and procedures, managing the annual IT finance budgets, conducting financial due diligence while also gathering & analyzing Project financial information.
- This resource will be working closely with the IT Senior Leadership Team and would be responsible for executive level presentation and analysis.
- Independently or as part of a larger team, the finance manager will be involved in projects where he/she would
- Demonstrate expertise in navigating complex funding & governance structures.
- Define & maintain Program Financial Management approach and procedures.
- Analyze IT Project financial cost plans and develop recommendations around the same.
- Coordinate with the various project managers to obtain Project financial information & prepare rationalize portfolio financial forecast.
- Perform Portfolio analysis and work with project managers to rationalize monthly variances.
- Create IT financial reporting decks for Senior Management.
- Monitor & control IT spend vs budget. Obtain approval, as needed, for budget commitment/changes
- Monitor financial movements.
- Update program Benefit Expense Tracker with prior month actuals and updated projections
- Work with Finance team on IT cost accruals
- Support Portfolio status reporting & Change Requests processes
- Comply with Governance team procedures
Education
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
- Preferably experience working on large IT Portfolios with strong focus on project financial management.
- Experience of working in an IT company or function.
- Experience in developing, improving financial planning, and budgeting process in major business projects required
Knowledge and skills :
- Demonstrated expertise in navigating complex funding & governance structures.
- Understands the IT eco-system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to collect data from multiple sources interpret and analyze to report to upper management reporting.
- Create financial reporting decks for multiple audience's
- Good presentation skills
- Ability to present to groups on a frequent basis, strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and achieve deadlines.
