Merchant Management Expert

Position Summary:

- Manage the external vendors to ensure the technology development and the maintenance of the Merchant management platforms

Role Description:

- Own the development and implementation roadmap for core capabilities of the Merchant Management Platform

- Define and prioritize product features, capabilities and requirements that are built and implemented for the benefit of Rewards and Network organization

- Lead projects through full product development process cycle (integration & usability testing, design feedback & support, build, test support & coordination and post-install defect resolution).

- Coordinating application development team to extend existing API and extend functionality if required which is based on the integration scenario use the API's to carry out the integration

- Drive the development/execution of projects based on the direction of Project Manager and Release Managers

- Partner and collaborate actively with cross-functional teams to facilitate the tactical delivery of business outcomes

- Work with key stakeholders to ensure that overall platform priorities are agreed, communicated, understood and executed against

- Coordinate participation between all Technology parties involved in developing and delivering the platforms supporting the Payment Gateway

- Collaborate with Technology parties to understand and deliver to time commitments, presenting structured trade-off information for decision-making as required

- Work with other functions to ensure that requirements and plans are clear, concise, complete, and understood across the organization team

- Oversee the creation of detailed project plans and coordination internal resources/vendor for the flawless execution of projects

- Ensure that all parties are working together to deliver projects on-time, within scope and within budget

- Evaluate release risk and develop mitigation strategy with partner teams

Minimum qualifications:

Education: M.Tech Computer Science or equivalent

Experience: 5-7 years of experience in similar industry

Supervisory responsibilities:

- The Merchant Management Expert will oversee the relationship and execution of work completed by vendor teams

- Team size: The Merchant Management Expert is an individual contributor role

Technical Skills:

- Expertise in merchant focused systems and technologies including terminal, POS, and PIN pad

- Strong background in application development technology to implement critical / impactful projects that increase the organization’s resiliency and ability to service clients.

- Experience in C, C++; Knowledge of EMV standards and Payment protocols like ISO8583, APACS

- Communication modes: Dial-up and IP communication [Preferably: PSTN Communication, Dial-up ISDN Communication (B Channel), ISDN Communication (D Channel or ISDNconnect), Leased Line X.25, Leased Line IP Based Communication]

Functional Knowledge: Technology

- Experience in creating and managing core platforms for payment solutions industry products

- In-depth understanding of deployment process and tools and release orchestration

- Experience as a senior developer, technical lead, and/or software project manager, preferably in the payment solutions industry

- Experience in start-up projects / businesses will be an added advantage
