What you'll be doing :
- Ownership for the revenue performance of company online marketplace partners, on other allied sites (such as bundle deal sites) and other future D2C opportunities as they arise.
- Work closely with 3rd party partners to drive revenue:
- Manage the trading relationship using available reports, metrics, and data dashboards from each partner.
- Manage the product selection and pricing process rulesets working closely with internal stakeholders to manage and understand impact on other B2C and B2B channels. This will be with the support of a process development BA and will require close collaboration with Pricing teams, D2C Merchandising teams, B2B Sales teams, B2C Sales team and other key stakeholders.
- Manage the go-to-market plan across 3rd party online marketplaces assessing the marketing opportunities available with each partner and ensuring these fit within the wider GTM plan owned by the Director of Marketing.
- Manage the customer outcomes and customer service issues that arise from the 3rd party trading relationships.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure revenue streams from various D2C, B2C and B2B stakeholders are managed holistically with 3P online marketplace revenues.
- Work with the Director of Marketing and the wider Marketing department on the ecommerce promotional calendar ensuring that 3rd party marketplace activity supports and enhances other planned commercial team and marketing team activities.
- Working closely with the Books Marketing Insights and Analytics team to request and manage internal reports and to support analysing and reporting external data on marketplace performance and customer behaviour.
- Work closely with the Sales team, Pricing team, and Editorial teams on rulesets, pricing strategies, and GTM plans.
- Work with the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales to:
- Identify 3P marketplace industry trends to be reflected in general merchandising decisions,
- Proactively seek out new opportunities based on these trends and developments.
- Work closely with the Customer Service to implement efficient process and data flows. Proactively suggest process flow improvements and work with the CS & Production to deliver these suggestions.
Qualifications :
- Experience of merchandising on or with 3rd party online marketplaces, ideally in Print and electronic Books category
- Understanding of how to - trade- an account to drive revenues
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Google Analytics or Content square experience would be desirable
- Able to generate, manipulate and read data and transform it into actionable insights
- Highly organized and able to prioritize competing demands with a practical - can do- attitude
- Highly analytical with a problem solving attitude
- Effective communicator
- Bachelors' Degree. MBA or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
