Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as a checker for complex and non-standard projects
- Provide support on client work to other team members within and outside the team
- Guide and mentor team members on actuarial principles, Mercer's tools and processes and help them identify and address their developmental areas through:
Providing regular feedback on their work
Receiving feedback from them on their developmental areas
Presenting such instances to group leaders and initiating training programs
- Participate in creating training materials and delivery of training sessions
- Support transition of new services/geographies
- Participate in creating training materials and delivery of training sessions/knowledge-sharing sessions
- Participate as a junior member in a Quality project, global committee, or new initiative kickoff
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one technical topic throughout the year
- Liaise with Consulting Offices/North American RSCs on technical and project management issues
- Communicate in a clear way that helps address questions instead of leading to more confusion
- Understand project management from a work budget and timing standpoint
Note: Applicants should be comfortable working in 1-10 pm shifts.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Thorough knowledge of pension or PRM and actuarial fundamentals
- Working knowledge of actuarial valuation tools
- Strong EXCEL and Word skills
- Excellent communication and good coaching skills
Education:
- Graduation with Mathematics/Statistics/Actuarial Science or any subject with sizeable mathematical content
