PROGRAM/PROJECT EXECUTION :
- Manage highly complex, broad, and/or multi-year projects end-to-end to deliver business outcomes, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to a high level of client satisfaction.
- Develops detailed, robust, high-quality project plans including resources, scope, schedule, cost, assumptions, dependencies, etc. for large scale, complex projects.
- Significantly recognizes the impact of even the slightest scope changes and how that may affect tasks and assignments in the future, and adjusts project plans and communicates accordingly.
- Ensures clear and consistent approach is in place to manage risk with alignment to the Finance & Business risk registers
- Acts as the first responder to risk, exposures, glitches etc. to projects and acts quickly either directly or by notifying supervisors or potential pitfalls and recommends solutions.
- Works closely within high visibility projects, and regularly interfaces with internal senior management and client executive level personnel, as well as identifies global subject matter experts on the project at hand.
- Negotiates resource requirements with responsible management when faced with conflicts in priorities.
- Assists in the exploration of intricate solutions to highly complex business requirements for project.
- Serves as the subject matter expert in the project functionality being provided, the business domain being served, and the project planning tools used.
- Works closely with Business Services teams (as well as internal and external project partners where appropriate) to devise, develop and deliver appropriate and proportionate systems to evaluate key activities at a project level
- Collates qualitative and quantitative information on project performance for the preparation and production of project reports for internal management purposes
- Provides advice and support to project partners on how project evidence and information has to be presented and reported
- Delegates work to and guides professional and support staff, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and procedures.
- Reviews, mentors, and coaches lower level professional and support staff.
FINANCIALS & BENEFITS REALISATION :
- Liaise closely with Business Services teams to ensure accurate & robust budget monitoring against project plans
- Ensure a robust process of notification or escalation mechanism to report on both underspend and potential overspend with the appropriate approvals sought for either situation
- Track and monitor benefits realization against planned targets
- Ensure post project reviews are in place and include lessons learnt exercises which identify both positive and negative outcomes to be actioned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- Post graduation in management or related background
- 18+ years of experience with at least 10 years in program / project management
