About the job:

A) About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Expert with extensive experience in the electricity sector to assist one of the State Commissions with a range of regulatory and compliance activities.

- The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in preparation of Tariff Orders, reviewing existing Regulations, formulating new regulations, and providing consultancy on various regulatory matters within the power sector.

Basis the years of experience, the candidate can be offered the designation of 'Manager/Senior Analyst - Policy & Regulatory'.

- The candidate shall be a part of the dynamic, high performing team within our 'Management Consulting' division.

The candidate shall be reporting to the Director - Management Consulting.

B) Detailed expectations from the role

- Possess understanding of the Electricity Act, 2003, along with related rules, policies, and guidelines.

- Review existing and new regulations, orders, and notifications to recommend appropriate actions.

- Provide strategic guidance on Regulatory matter pertaining to discoms, transmission and generation companies

- Preparation of Tariff Petitions and orders (ARR, Tariff, True-up, Business Plan) for power sector utilities.

- Deliberate on emerging issues in power sector with respect to power purchase, voltage wise tariffs, IT, performance improvement and other techno-commercial regulatory matters

- Strategic Advice to clients on policy advocacy matters to improve the efficacy of regulatory submissions

- Take lead in managing the overall engagement and drive stakeholder communication effectively

- Should be able to Prioritize, plan, manage and carry out assignments, making optimum use of company resources and achieve high levels of client satisfaction.

- Should possess strong set of techno-commercial competencies, thought leadership and people leadership and relationship management with clients

- Multi- tasking and ability to deliver in typical fast-paced consulting environment.

- Strong written and oral communications skills.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to manage both internal as well as external stakeholders.

- Excellent ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Should be proficient in data analysis and presentation tools.

- MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel and Power Point).

Expertise in power distribution business.

D) Education and Experience

- Relevant work experience of atleast 3 years, preferably in Management Consulting.

- BE/B.Tech is mandatory.

- MBA is preferred.
