About the Team:
- With almost 4 Lakh entrepreneurs aboard the Meesho app, we are all set to democratize internet commerce for everyone in India. Our primary responsibility, as the Business org, is to actively drive this mission from the frontlines.
- As an Associate Manager, you will play a huge role in driving growth across all categories. Our team holds end-to-end responsibility to launch and scale-up categories, by ensuring the right selection, competitive pricing, and conversion. Each category team has Senior Business Managers/Business Managers and a group of Assistant Business Managers, Key Account Managers, and Business Development Executives.
- Within the business team, you'll closely work with the category marketing team and other category teams. Beyond this, you will also work closely with the Product, Supplier Growth, User Growth, and Fulfillment & Experience teams.

About the Role:
- As an Associate Business Manager for the 'Trends' charter at Meesho, you will play a crucial role in positioning Meesho as the preferred fashion destination for Gen Z customers. Your primary focus will be on identifying and leveraging emerging fashion trends to drive engagement and growth. This role requires a keen understanding of fashion trends, strong analytical skills, and the ability to execute strategies that resonate with a youthful audience. Additionally, you will regularly present findings and updates to the CEO and senior leadership.
What you will do:
Trend Identification and Strategy:
- Research and analyze emerging fashion trends, with a particular focus on Gen Z preferences.
Formulate strategies to incorporate trends into Meeshos fashion offerings and marketing initiatives.
- Use data and market insights to predict upcoming fashion trends and advise on product assortment and promotions.
Business Strategy and Program Management:
- Develop a deep understanding of key business problems and strategic priorities to provide insights on gaps and opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end problem identification and solution implementation to achieve impactful results.
- Set goals against key metrics, track performance, and manage execution across functions.
Stakeholder Management and Communication:
- Advocate and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on business performance across projects, facilitating discussions and tracking progress.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Category Marketing, Business Finance) for monthly/weekly reviews.
What you will need:
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in fashion trend analysis/forecasting, or a related role within the fashion industry
- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Passion for Fashion: A deep passion for fashion and understanding of current trends and consumer behavior.
- Cross-functional Team Experience: Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to develop first-principle thinking and build scalable processes.
- Action Orientation: Strong bias for action and impact creation.
- Results Delivery: Demonstrated track record of delivering results.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business operations and customer needs.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in solving problems using both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Solution-Oriented: Proven ability to drive problems to solutions and identify opportunities.
