Job Purpose Summary:

- Direct or coordinate production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service, or safety.

- Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet product distribution needs. Direct the movement, storage, or processing of inventory.

Competencies:

Technical:

- Foundation knowledge of procurement activities and procedures

- Contract management for compliance local legal framework

- Knowledge of HSE for contractor compliance

- Understanding of waybill process

- Tax compliance rules applicable to contracts

- Understanding of bank guarantees and letter of credit

- Understanding differing insurance requirements for plant and machinery - workers compensation and accident insurance.

- Understanding of scope of work development

- Knowledge of shipping logistics and associated custom clearance - import duties

- Understanding of contract noncompliance legalities and process to deal with termination

- Communications skills suitable to interact with all levels of management

- Computer literacy - MS Office package with strong excel skills

- Excellent organizational skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong supervisory skills

Key Accountabilities:

- Review or update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws.

- Diagram supply chain models to help facilitate discussions with vendors & suppliers.

- Follows purchasing KPI's to meet deadlines as identified.

- Supports development and ensures compliance with procedures.

- Strict compliance to ethic policy

- Compliance to audit process and internal control process INCOME.

- Submission of MIS reports

- Supply chain analysis with suppliers

- Supply chain process management

- Supply chain strategic alignment to business

- Technology orientation to supply chain process

Expected Outcomes:

- Good standard of work and meeting supply chain deadlines within expectations.

- Monthly vendor / supplier analysis

- Meeting all deadlines identified

- Tendering procedure. Purchase policy etc.

- No breaches

- No non-conformance.

- Successful audit reviews

- Weekly monthly reports on vendor performance

- Meet with suppliers to discuss performance metrics, to provide performance feedback, or to discuss production forecasts or changes.

- Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, cycle times, position responsibilities, or system flows.

- Design or implement supply chains that support business strategies adapted to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, or cost reduction strategies.

- Evaluate and select information or other technology solutions to improve tracking and reporting of materials or products distribution, storage, or inventory.

Communication And Working Relationships

- Internal with finance, site and stores execution team

- External with contractors, subcontractors, vendor etc

Qualifications And Experience:

- Existing Qualifications for the Post Holder:

- B. Tech - Mechanical / Civil / Electrical Engineering

- 15 years- experience in existing role in Power / EPC sector.
