Job Title: Systems Business Analyst/ Project Manager (FINANCE)

Location - Mumbai - Andheri

Job Summary:

The Systems BA (Finance) plays a pivotal role in the requirement gathering, design, project management, customization, and support of the finance functionalities as part of a large system/ERP upgrade within the organization. This individual will collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to analyze finance processes, and provide requirements to meet the specific needs of the finance team (AP, AR, Closing and reporting. FP&A). (S)he will work with systems teams and consultants to drive to a successful deployment of the new system. Ideal candidate would have worked to upgrade from basic accounting system like Tally/ QB to Established system like Workday/ Netsuite/ Sage or Oracle/ SAP for 1 or more projects for a mid-sized international company.

Responsibilities:

Business Process Analysis/ Requirement gathering

Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements.

Conduct thorough analysis to identify opportunities for process improvement through ERP implementation.

Work across finance and Systems teams/ vendors as a liaison to make trade-offs about speed, functionality and cost

Work closely with end-users to gather and document functional requirements.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications for ERP customization and configuration.

ERP Finance functionality Design:

Participate in the planning and execution of ERP project as finance representative.

Help configure the ERP system to align with Finance/ business processes and requirements.

Customize and integrate ERP modules to meet specific Finance/ organizational needs.

Advise on Integration of the ERP system with other applications and technologies as needed.

Project Management/ Delivery:

Manage deliverables from the finance teams towards the project to ensure delivery as per time, quality and cost and make trade-offs as needed among the three based on approval of management

System Testing:

Design and execute test scenarios to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of ERP configurations.

Collaborate with the testing team to identify and resolve any issues during the testing phase.

User Training:

Develop and deliver training programs to end-users on ERP system functionalities.

Provide ongoing support and guidance to users to ensure effective utilization of the ERP system.

Data Migration:

Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to the ERP platform.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the migration process.

Troubleshooting and Support:

Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Collaborate with technical teams for complex issue resolution.

Documentation:

Document configurations, customizations, and processes related to the ERP system.

Maintain up-to-date documentation for future reference and training purposes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance (CA essential). MBA maybe considered if experience compensates for it. US GAAP knowledge desired

Certification in project management/ lean 6 sigma (nice to have)

Certification from any ERP system (nice to have)

Experience/ Skills:

Overall Finance+ Systems experience of 7-10 years

In-depth (at least 1 project of more than 1 year or 2 project of 6 months+) working in upgrade of finance systems in a mid-sized international company in the role of Functional business system analyst directing requirements, project management, user testing on behalf of the finance organization with the technical teams/ vendors

Strong understanding of finance processes and workflows.

Excellent communication, project management and interpersonal skills.

Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Knowledge of multiple ERP modules, such as finance, human resources, supply chain, reporting etc.

Experience with ERP system upgrades and migrations.
