Job Title: Dy. Manager, US accounting and Lender reporting

Location: Mumbai - Andheri(Hybrid)

Shift time - 1pm to 10pm

MEDUSIND background:

Medusind has been in business for 22 years in the US healthcare billing and collections industry (BPO) and has recently entered a very exciting hypergrowth phase. Now led by a leading private equity company we aim to grow 5X in 5 years driven by multiple tuck in acquisitions. The Finance team is in a pivotal position to enable this growth by supporting organic as well as in-organic profitable growth by driving significant transformation.

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced person to join our Accounting, Reporting, and Consolidation function for US reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, lender reporting and consolidation processes. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial data accurately. This position requires a deep understanding of accounting and tax principles, regulations, and industry-specific guidelines to address complex accounting issues effectively. Knowledge/ experience in FX/ Treasury management would be a plus. The Manager will need to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting and consolidation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting, Reporting, and Consolidation for group's US entities

2. Support preparation of monthly/quarterly and annually Consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards. This includes balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and related disclosures and identifying GAAP differences.

3. Help consolidate financial results for multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation adjustments.

4. Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

5. Providing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to lenders to demonstrate the Company's financial performance and position.

6. Ensuring compliance with specific financial ratios or performance metrics outlined in the loan agreement. This may involve providing calculations and certifications to confirm adherence to these covenants.

7. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.

8. Collaborate with other departments, including Finance, Tax, and Legal, to support cross-functional initiatives and projects.

9. Provide leadership and guidance to the Accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

10. Serve as a subject matter expert on accounting and reporting matters, providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders as needed.

11. Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors to facilitate the timely completion of audits.

12. Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards, and assess their potential impact on the organization.

Qualifications and desired Traits:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA (Chartered Accountant), CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.

2. 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting and reporting, ideally in a services oriented business serving the US market (BPO, ITO, professional services, GCC etc)

3. Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP/Indian GAAP principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements.

4. Very strong XL skills. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle or any other ERP) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

8. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and best practices in financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls.

9. Curious, fast learner and highly diligent and reliable
