Country Sales Manager (Dist/Country/Reg Sales Mgr I/Country Sales Manager)

- We are looking for a competitive and trustworthy Country Sales Manager to help us build up our business activities in Hernia & Suture market (Soft Tissue Implants). You will be responsible for delivering results for the STI business by maintaining a team of frontline sales reps and managers. You will be responsible to develop the market by investing in training and education. CSM STI will be responsible to monitor competition activity and developing appropriate strategies to deliver desired organizational results.

- The goal is to meet and surpass the company's expectations to drive rapid and sustainable growth.

- Sales teams are the key point of contact between an organization and its clients for answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.

- This position interacts internally with the functions, Marketing, (Minimally Invasive Therapies Group) business units and various other stakeholders in MDT and externally with clients, Purchase & healthcare decision-makers of hospital incorporate, nursing home and government set up

A Day in the Life :

- Manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales targets.

- Create a long term plan for the business- 5 years plan

- Designs/ recommends sales programs and sets short- and long-term sales strategies.

- Evaluates and implements appropriate new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.

- Acts as advisor to the sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.To ensure that the company's agreed quality standards are maintained with regard to its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contact.

- Develops customer relationships and business with hospitals, Purchase managers, & Authorities and health care decision-makers.

- Leverages all Medtronic resources to maximize sales at target hospitals and therapy penetration & awareness about therapies.

- Leads negotiations to win hospital contracts and develops the plan of action.

Key Accountability :

- Work at the field level with the sales team to promote the adoption of MITG products and related solutions

- Create and sustain strategic relationships/alliances with hospitals and surgeons

- Develop & maintain a detailed understanding of accounts and Purchasing process.

- Manage complex sales cycle totally aligned with the procurement process outlined by the hospital

- Ensure the successful achievements of the company's sales goals across all its regions in accounts and achieve key financial targets. Manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales objectives

- Support the preparation of quotations, proposals and evaluate and identify untapped accounts /gain market share, accounts for the strategic deal and explore opportunities for new products & supply directly

- Analyze market potential and take appropriate decision to quote & keep track of competitive updates and pricing to win in accounts /monitor the performance

- Designs develop effective strategy sets short & long-term goals. Ensure its timely implementation

- Customer value Creation: Uncover key value drivers in the hospital and pursue mutually beneficial initiatives to attain a sustainable competitive advantage.

- Work closely with top accounts /decision-makers /health care officials those who involved in purchasing and drive new initiatives

- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other functional units - marketing, Finance, legal and Regulatory

- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies

- Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective, efficient sales org

- Ensure compliance with appropriate SOPs and company policies and practices

Must-Have :


Minimum Requirements :

- 13- 16 years of field sales experience, distributor management experience preferred.

- Must have 5+ years of experience of having done business with tier 2 & 3 market, preferably in a leadership role

- Experience selling in both direct and partner-led models

- Ability to articulate comprehensive range of offerings

- Experience selling into the tier 2 & 3 markets preferred & demonstrate business acumen and being visionary & demonstrate the ability to retain high performing team

- Familiar with practices, and procedures related to procurement.

- Solid sales record and ability to meet up with targets

- Exceptional negotiation skills, build effective relationships internally or externally

- The ability to manage through influence to drive positive outcomes

- Provide leadership through effective communication, vision, active coaching and development of people

- Ability to think strategically, Strategy development and management skills

- Ability to act proactively and plan effectively

- Work within the mindset of Eager to Win, Take Ownership, and Team up to Excel. Demonstrate these behaviors
