Life Sciences specialized in MedTech
This role is for a MedTech Manager in the Life Sciences industry team
The Life Sciences industry group works with the following industries :
- Pharmaceuticals
- Biotechnology
- Medical products and devices
Research & Development, Supply chain and Marketing and sales, but experience in Medical Devices/MedTech (R&D innovation, Manufacturing Operations, Quality Management, New Digital Business Model Design, Personalized and Value Based Care) with in Life Sciences is a must for this profile.
Experience :
Management Consulting + Track skills
General Business Consulting :
- Can draw insights from complex financial and quantitative analysis and integrate these insights and findings across work streams and come up with overall plan to drive strategy and solution development. Also, can structure and implement forecasting models and identify transformation opportunities
- Can identify company's key cost and value drivers and explain their priority / influence on business performance
- Can develop strategies and operating models focused on 1 or 2 business units and assess likely competitive responses. Also, can assess implementation readiness and points of greatest impact
- Manages proposals and business development efforts and coordinates with other colleagues to create consensus driven deliverables.
- Can define and execute a transformational change plan aligned with client's business strategy and context for change. Can engage stakeholders in the change journey and build commitment for change. Understands implications a new strategy will have on day to day cross functional operations of a business
- Has good sales acumen, applies client knowledge, Accenture sales, opportunity management and contract processes to structure high impact solutions for clients.
Client and Project Management :
- Can lead a project across Service Lines and manage client and stakeholder expectations
- Develops trust-based relationships with clients and manages client expectations
- Can work with client leadership to reprioritize activities / alter plans as required and can influence clients to secure cooperation for action
Communication :
- Has good written and verbal communication skills. Can articulate and share points well
- Leads presentations for the entire project with the client. Advocates a point of view and orchestrates, addresses difficult questions/ conflicts during presentations
- Can engage stakeholders and drive colleagues to create consensus driven deliverables
Industry Skills :
- Industry Expertise: Preferably worked internationally in top medical devices / pharmaceuticals / biotechnology industry or worked in an international context with clients from the above industry segments;
- Should at least 6 years of progressive business and/or consulting experience; at least 3 years of experience in MedTech Industry is mandatory

Capability Skills :
Should have the following skills developed as part of experience in a strategy or consulting set up:
- Strong Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills
- Patient Services experience in Life Sciences & Medtech with exposure to digital platforms
- Should have working knowledge of the popularly used commercial platforms such as Veeva CRM, Salesforce Health cloud & Marketing cloud, SAP, Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) etc.
- Business Administration Certificate in Veeva CRM, Veeva Vault, Sales Force will be added advantage for patients care and support

- Project Management
- At least 6 years of Medical Devices industry experience
- At least 6 years of experience in Configuration/solutions evaluation/Validation and deployment
- Project Management Experience with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in Global Environment using Onshore Offshore model
- Sensitivity and skill at working with different cultures and styles
- The individual must be someone who has led teams, has strong conceptual and inter-personal skills
- This individual must be comfortable working at the highest levels of client organizations and interacting closely with the senior executives in a range of environments
- The individual should be comfortable functioning in a broadly positioned and highly diverse consulting firm
- The individual should possess an impressive executive demeanor, a team oriented and collaborative approach
- The individual should possess and demonstrate high integrity and credibility as perceived by all those with whom s/he will work
- The individual should be diplomatic, flexible, and have a good team approach.
