What is the job like?
As a Sr Manager in the Digital Marketing team, we are looking for you to bring strategic insight to build a sustained Ads business. You will be managing teams that run performance and branding campaigns of high-profile US brands using multiple ad formats such as Native, Display and Search with a potential of scaling to many more. We look for people who are naturally inclined to dig into the numbers, and are looking to grow alongside a fast paced product. An inclination for bringing structured business processes, deep data analysis data and a willingness to learn new products & ecosystems is a must.
What makes this role exciting is that you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Sales, Product and Engineering team - Impact the Product Roadmap & the Business Strategy alongside growing the business.
Core Responsibilities :
- Develops account strategy in partnership with sales Directors and Product and is accountable for the execution of strategy and achievement of KPIs
- Manage a team of 5+ campaign managers who will run search, display and native campaigns
- Build strong relationships with partner teams across media.net and our external partners
- Continuously work to expand our services portfolio and managed ad spends
- Drive advertiser facing technical account management conversations using the help of technical product operations teams
- Forecast campaign scale and understand advertiser market positioning on the basis of the ads brief and industry research
- Collate market insights about advertiser goals and industry trends into actionable campaign strategies
- Identify the right campaign goals and KPIs based on advertiser goals from awareness to website traffic to website actions and performance
- Consistently conduct creative and targeting experiments to optimize campaigns for profitability
- Ability to visualize and dissect campaign reporting for both leadership reporting and to iteratively improve performance
- Build business cases, sales pitches and experiments to support sales conversations to expand advertiser budgets
- Provide creative copy suggestions and graphical ad templates for Search and Display campaigns.
- Manage Display network placement lists on AdWords and other contextual advertising platforms.
- Provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting across the Search & Display networks, and other facets of paid search in accordance with revenue goals.
- Maintain awareness and expertise of the advertiser industry landscape as well as the digital advertising landscape
What skills and experience do you need?
- 8-10 years of relevant work experience as a team leader and hands-on campaign manager (experience running Search and Display campaigns via popular DSP platforms like DV 360 / Trade Desk / Google Adwords would be a plus)
- Excellent data analysis, interpersonal, communication and storytelling skills to be able to present campaign results effectively (Experience in a data analyst role is a plus)
- A logical thinker with a high level of drive, initiative & self-motivation and can meet deadlines efficiently
- Hands-on experience on with analyzing spreadsheets and digital analytics tools like Google Analytics
- Passionate about marketing and transforming advertiser bottom-line results with digital media
- Excited to get your hands dirty and consistently striving for better results through newer solutions and leveraging in-house resources
- Experience in product feature building, analytics and insights will be a huge plus!
- Aptitude & willingness to learn technology
