ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY - ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT, PROJECT MANAGEMENT (SYSTEM ADOPTION)

LOCATION - LUCKNOW OR PANCHKULA.

Medha has a vision of an India with equal career opportunities for youth; irrespective of gender, class, or caste.

We believe the most effective way to get 150 million young people into rewarding careers is by collaborating with the government education system. From day one, we chose to exclusively work at existing vocational, technical, and higher education institutions and integrate our programming and approach into the system.

Ten years later, this scale path has enabled us to impact over 85,000 students across more than 540 educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana.

As we expand our System Adoption work to reach 1 million students in the next five years, we are looking for expert project managers to deliver large-scale projects across government education systems. They will be responsible for turning a vision into a plan, managing the resources and relationships required to achieve the project's objectives, and keeping a diverse set of stakeholders moving in the right direction, on time, and on budget.

The difference between a good idea and MoU, and tens of thousands of young people starting rewarding careers they enjoy, comes down to our ability to execute. We are looking for passionate professionals who know what it takes to get things done with the government.

Our work with the government falls into four buckets:

- Curriculum design and revision: Enhance existing courses, review and recommend changes, develop new programs/degrees/diplomas.

- Performance management systems: Determine impact indicators, build and deploy tech and non-tech systems, strengthen data-driven decision making.

- Empirical evidence and collective action: Conduct and disseminate research on the school to work ecosystem. Collaborate more deeply with peers.

You will be responsible for managing the execution of projects in one or more of the above-mentioned areas. This includes but is not limited to:

- Planning & Tracking: Translate the project vision and objectives into a detailed execution plan and roadmap. Document and communicate progress against timelines and deliverables.

- Execution & Coordination: Facilitate project activities and actors to ensure deliverables are completed on time.

- Relationship Building & Management: Develop trusted relationships with all stakeholders to ensure communication and expectation setting.

- Strategic Decision Making: Course correct, problem solve, and provide key inputs based on project learnings and roadblocks.

- Anticipate potential challenges and take action to mitigate them.

And some prior experience:

We believe in diversity of thought and experiences and are open to candidates with varied backgrounds. If you believe the skills you have built from the experiences you have had in the past can be applied to this work, please communicate how and why in your application.
