Job Title: Product Manager
Job Summary:
- The Product Manager will play a crucial role in driving the development and growth of pharmaceutical products, from concept through commercialization.
- This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, marketing, regulatory, sales, and manufacturing teams to deliver products that meet market needs and regulatory standards.
- The Product Manager must possess a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development processes, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap:
- Develop and implement the product strategy and roadmap for assigned pharmaceutical products.
- Conduct competitive analysis, market research, and customer feedback to identify market opportunities and unmet needs.
- Work closely with R&D to guide product development based on market demand and scientific innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, and medical affairs teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Partner with marketing to define go-to-market strategies, messaging, and positioning.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- Manage the full lifecycle of pharmaceutical products, including launch planning, post-launch monitoring, and end-of-life decision-making.
- Track product performance, collect key data points, and adjust the strategy as necessary to meet goals.
- Lead life cycle initiatives such as line extensions, reformulations, and geographic expansion.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including physicians, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Participate in key meetings, conferences, and advisory boards to gather insights and feedback.
Regulatory & Compliance:
- Ensure that product strategies align with regulatory requirements and work with the regulatory team to manage approvals.
- Stay informed about changes in the pharmaceutical regulatory environment that could impact product strategies.
Financial & Forecasting:
- Develop product budgets and forecasts, working closely with finance to track financial performance.
- Provide input on pricing strategies based on market research, product positioning, and competitive dynamics.
Market Analysis & Research:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory landscape.
- Use market intelligence to drive business development efforts and suggest innovations in the product line.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in pharmacy, life sciences, or from any science background is a must
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in product management within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industry.
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product development lifecycle, from research to commercialization.
- Proven success in managing product launches and driving product growth.
Skills:
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry (FDA, EMA, etc.
