Candidate Profile:

- Media - ideally digital/online, electronic/DTH or mobile

- Advertising - Client Service, Direct Marketing, Media Planning/Buying or Activation/Digital Marketing

- Entertainment - talent/property management, music labels or film production/distribution

- Sports management - with experience in media interfaces, licensing/merchandising, etc.

- Online Retail - in business development/management with an online retail major

- Digital Design and Digital Channel Management

- Internet Radio/TV

- Any other skills: Currently at a unit/division leadership level, independently managing a cross functional team and with P&L and business development responsibility

Job in Detail:

- Head the business and manage all the properties owned by the company or for which organization has rights by way of license, franchise, etc.

- Manage all stakeholders including entertainment and media talent, sponsors and customers, media owners and media houses, licensors and property/rights owners, internal customers, talent agents, advertising agencies and media buyers, etc.

- Develop a strong sponsor base and long term sponsorships and sponsor relationships, leveraging the marketing and communication power of the stable of properties and rights

- Lead a multi-skilled, young, multi-cultural team of marketing, digital design, social marketing, media monitoring and message design specialists

- Formulate, prepare, submit, and execute the Annual Business Plan in conjunction with Group leadership and internal stakeholders

- Constantly seek and develop new markets (including across East Africa and the Kiswahili diaspora countries and media/channels) and new revenue streams for owned and licensed properties: and source and develop high-potential additions to the property portfolio

- Draft, develop and put in place contracts and agreements with all property and rights owners, as well as sponsors, customers, sub-licensees, rights buyers, media owners and other associates: drawing on legal assistance from the Group’s resources

- Prepare and administer public relations activities for the Group and its constituent units, including digital presence, endorsements and celebrity appearances, etc.
