Manager - Finance
Core Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end processes for accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for both US and India operations.
- Coordinate with vendors and clients across regions to manage payment terms and ensure smooth cash flow.
Month-End Close:
- Lead the month-end close process for both US and India entities, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary data and ensure timely completion.
Payroll Management:
- Handle payroll processing for India, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursements, compliance with statutory requirements, and maintenance of payroll records.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Coordination of Tax Compliance:
- Work closely with external consultants to ensure timely and accurate filing of GST and TDS returns in India.
- Ensure all tax-related documentation is prepared and maintained as required.
Reconciliations:
- Conduct regular reconciliations of financial accounts, including bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations across both US and India entities.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies or variances identified during these reconciliations.
Financial Reporting:
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required by management and regulatory authorities for both US and India entities.
- Ensure financial reporting aligns with accounting standards and regulations applicable in both regions.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance team members.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages growth and professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Qualified CA preferred.
- Extensive experience in core finance functions, including AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close, with at least 3-4 years in a similar profile
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements in both the US and India.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Zohobooks, Quickbooks and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities efficiently.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
