McDonald’s India is looking to recruit Manager - People Resources based at Mumbai.
Brief about the company - McDonald's is the world's leading global foodservice retailer with more than 33,000 locations serving approximately 68 million customers in 119 countries, each day. Celebrating 16 years of leadership in food service retail in India, McDonald’s today has a network of over 300 restaurants across the country, with its first restaurant launch way back in 1996.
In India, McDonald's operates with two Indian entities – Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt Ltd (HRPL) and Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd (CPRL). While HRPL is a McDonald’s Master Franchisee with rights to own & operate McDonald’s restaurants in India’s west and south markets, restaurants in the north & east India markets is managed by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Private Limited, a Joint Venture Partner of McDonald’s Corp.

Compensation & Benefits Benchmarking -
1. Evaluating the effectiveness of the current compensation practices through internal and external research of performance benchmarks and critical indicators such as turnover statistics, recruitment success studies, equity studies and salary range variance analyses
2. Conducting periodical compensation surveys across similar industries and ensuring the employees’ salaries & benefits are line with the market conditions
3. Participating in salary surveys by extracting and reporting on wage and salary data
Job Evaluation & Productivity Analysis -
1. Reviewing the organization structure, analyzing positions and estimating the quantity and quality of job responsibilities
2. Carrying out continuous job designing /analysis, evaluation and re-grading of all job families
Compensation plan & pay-banding -
1. Assist in (re)designing attraction and retention strategy for the company
2. Comparing positions internally and externally, making recommendations for grade level changes ensuring internal equity and external competitiveness
3. Analyzing the salary structure, benefits in similar industries and suggesting improvements
4. Develop pay-bands for organization (broad-bands) and derive functional pay-bands (narrow-bands) based on organization structure & industry benchmarking
Compensation & Payroll -
1. Analyzing and interpreting strategic compensation issues within the broader human resources context, and to provide integrated solutions
2. Developing and implementing new benefit packages or modifying the existing benefits
3. Promoting internal equity and consistency across division and in all levels
4. Extracting, analyzing and reporting salary & payroll hours information
Policies & procedures -
1. Develop and maintain compensation and benefits policies for the entire company
2. Ensure all job descriptions / organization structures are well aligned to the company policy and industry best practice
Communication & Reports -
1. Making the monthly payroll analysis report and productivity analysis report
2. Educating line managers and new joinees about the compensation program by conducting group training sessions or individual training
HRMS -
Ensuring that HRMS software data is in sync with the information as published in payroll
