Job purpose
- Reporting to the Innovation Lead / Data Analytics lead for Mazars UK this role will drive the development of key analytics for the People and Culture (P&C) function and support the wider Data and Analytics agenda across the firm. The role will identify technological advancements to help the P&C team achieve operational excellence, enhance the innovation agenda and provide relevant business insights.
- The role will also work in collaboration with the offshore HR Services Centre, central P&C functions and wider BST functions within the firm in supporting the internal functions. This role will work particularly closely with Partners and team members across the firm to deliver a best-in-class operational HR service and reporting.
- A key short-term requirement of the role is the development of standardized reports, in PowerBI, for the People and Culture team to ensure support of service lines (or business units) and achievement of the wider strategic goals.
Job role
- Create and maintain a suite of reporting and KPIs which provides regular and appropriate data to key stakeholders in a timely manner to support decision making and to assess ROI across the people agenda.
- Leverage technology to drive better intelligence, insight through data and in the medium-term predictive analytics.
- Transform large data sets through the use of appropriate technologies and manipulation into user friendly insight to support decision making.
- Support with regular audits, reconciliations and cleansing of data to ensure that the quality and integrity of our data are maintained to the highest standard
- Identify opportunities to improve our systems and processes to create more efficient ways of working and improve the user experience.
- Collaborate with the Business Services teams and the wider firm to make required data changes in a timely and accurate manner, and to ensure compliance around regulatory and other data protection requirements.
- Work alongside the wider Data Analytics team to develop out standard practices for the benefit of the firm
- Promote a culture and the skills that encourage innovation and creative thinking, better enabling client facing teams to help solve problems for their clients.
- Act as the subject matter expert across the People & Culture team for data analysis and reporting, understanding, and improving the data and information flows between different teams and systems.
- Partnering with the offshore HR Services Centre team to ensure the service being delivered is consistent with the needs of the firm and provides value and appropriate support whilst maintaining a drive to improve data quality.
- Support the People & Culture team in ad-hoc requests for insight in areas such as: provision of data for employee engagement questionnaires, Inclusion & Diversity metrics, general people related KPIs and other
- Support our HR Services Centre to implement updates and changes to our data, and to build and maintain reporting via the HR Information System.
Person specification

- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools, with an excellent working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, filters, formulas, and vlookups) and PowerBI
- Previous experience in reporting and maintaining data via the use of HR Information systems (such as PeopleSoft, Workday and Success Factors) is preferred.
- Experienced with handling large data sets, a keen eye for detail with a strong focus on ensuring data accuracy and the ability to solve problems.
- Effective communicator and able to build trust by conveying key messages to a range of stakeholders succinctly via presentations, email, and verbally.
- Good time management and ability to work to set deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Takes a pragmatic approach to resolving situations, using own initiative where appropriate and adaptable to meet changing business requirements.
