Role :
Product & Channel Management (PCM) is a focal team for ideating, planning and ensuring impactful new product launch. Furthermore, PCM is responsible for enabling top line achievement and protection of bottom line with distribution by actively managing the product mix. The job holder will be primarily responsible for supporting and jointly working on the following:
1. One of the primary responsibility would be to work on new initiatives for the growth of the retirement/annuity vertical at an enterprise level.
2. Work on assigned projects which are incubated basis new ideas and would be responsible for end to end setup, execution and impactful launch.
3. Work on capability building on products and product understanding of the internal training/LPC team other than concept identification/sales stories, testing & implementation in the field.
4. Product performance analysis (optimum product mix management) for the Agency channel with suggested areas of improvement.
5. Conceptualize and execute impactful product launches with Measure of Success (MoS) in collaboration with cross function teams.
6. Closure on Important Product design elements and channel alignment as required for Agency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with various stakeholders (sales across various channels, marketing etc), to help build focus on annuities/retirement business.
- Engage with Channels to enable the product mix delivery in line with the plan through different interventions (training, product stories, sales credit)
- Analysis of product trends and recommendations to enable product performance in line with the plan.
- End to end New Product Launch planning with clear MoS.
- Competitive Insights & Regular market updates on products, competitive benchmarking.
Preference :
- Candidate with strong understanding of life insurance products (preferably with a prior experience in product management) as well as experience in planning/training for channels.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS (MoS)
- Annuity plan achievement and new initiatives during the year to enable management plan achievement.
- Impactful New Product launch MoS (First 60/90 days), Go To Market planning.
- Insights from business analysis and implementation of 1 new ideas/concepts every quarter in the assigned channel.
- Smooth coordination with other departments: Regular project management and updates to senior management.
KEY COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIRED :
- Understanding of Life Insurance Products and channel levers.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel
- Ability to work with cross functional teams, strong networking and interpersonal skills
- Data interpretation skills (analytical in nature)
- Detail oriented, organized, critical thinker with strong work ethics
- Good interpersonal & communication skill
MINIMUM EDUCATION/MINIMUM /SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:
- Preference to candidates with MBA from a good business school with excellent academic track record.
- Life Insurance domain expertise with Product Development/management experience
- Life Insurance/Finance Certifications like LOMA, III , CFP preferred (not mandatory)
