JOB SUMMARY :
- Manage accruals and provisions
- Manage OPEX along with actual vs budget variance-
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing accruals and Provisions
- Responsible for managing adequate provisions in the books of account as per the current accounting principles and standards
- Enable audit of provisions and accruals created with Statutory and Internal audits
- Ensure there is no under/over provisions to ensure the accounting figures reported are true and correct
- Put effective controls to ensure payments are made and matched with respective provisions made
- Preparedepartmental MIS with actual vs budget variance
- Publish MIS as per the define timelines
Measures of Success :
- Ensure appropriate provisions are effected in the books of account for estimated expenses
- Publish MIS as per the define time lines
Key Relationships (Internal /External):
Internal : All departments
External : Vendors
Key competencies/skills required :
- Ability to work independently and deliver on time
- A mindset with a focus on the bottom line
- To work closely with other teams - Distribution, Operations, Legal, IT, Claims, Actuarial, HR
- Build a constructive relationship with other departments at Max Life
Desired qualification and experience :
- B Com / M Com with an atleast 5-6 year experience in similar field
